The boat to Schiermonnikoog leaves from Lauwersoog Veerhaven. By train you travel either to Leeuwarden or Groningen. From Leeuwarden you take the bus line 50 and from Groningen bus line 63 to Lauwersoog. Both depart from the bus station and are connected to the departure times of the boat.

Ferry
Wagenborg Passagiersdiensten travels four times a day by boat between Lauwersoog en Schiermonnikoog. The departure times are shown on the website of Wagenborg Passagiersdiensten (www.wpd.nl). Please note that the departure times have recently been changed.
You can leave your luggage on the special luggage cars free of charge.
